The Human Costumes series is based on the concept that we are all one source of energy, temporarily manifesting in the form of thousands of people, each wearing a human “costume.” I transformed this idea into an immersive experience that allows people to wear the “skin” of others and embody their personas. Human costumes has evolved into a collection of wearable silicone bodies that people can interact with, providing a tool for awakening the alter egos within us. It has also created opportunities for dancers, performers, photographers, and filmmakers to explore and interpret.
Human costumes were exhibited in a gallery called DOOR Foundation, as the vortex of an art installation and a live performance titled OSMOSIS, which celebrated the five years since the first human costume was made.
